CONTAINER CHECKLIST

• No Appliances In Containers
• Mercury Containing Lights MUST be recycled – not disposed of in containers
• No Car Components (including gas tanks and tires)
• CDSI Not Responsible for Concrete Driveways
• No Concrete, Dirt, Rocks or Ashes in Containers
• No Free Flowing Liquids or Hazardous Materials
• No Items Longer Than 4.5 Feet in Container
• Minimum Weekly Service is Required
• Customer Must Call to Discontinue Service
• CDSI may refuse to pick up materials from points where, because of the condition of the streets, alleys or roads, it is impracticable or dangerous to person or property to operate vehicles.
• CDSI may refuse to drive into private property when, in the collector’s judgment, driveways or roads are improperly constructed or maintained or without adequate turn arounds or have other unsafe conditions.
• Where CDSI is requested to provide service, and damage occurs to a customers’ driveway due to reasons not in the control of the carrier, the carrier will assume no responsibility
• Drive-in Service is $ .94 per week for Temporary Service and $4.13 per month for Permanent Service.
• Rates include rental and disposal
• Rates DO NOT include 3.6% Refuse Tax
• Temporary Fuel Surcharge May Also Apply

DROP BOX CHECK LIST

• Appliances In Containers? Discuss with CDSI in advance
• Mercury Containing Lights MUST be recycled – not disposed of in containers. No Free Flowing Liquids or Hazardous Materials. Any such items will be returned to the customer and will generate additional charges
• No Concrete, Dirt, Rocks or Ashes in Containers – Do Not Damage Drop Box
• No Car Components (including gas tanks and tires) – Grant County Tire Penalty: $225 per ton on the total weight of the drop box if tires are found in the drop box. TIRES MUST BE HAULED SEPERATE
• CDSI may refuse to pick up materials from points where, because of the condition of the streets, alleys or roads, it is impracticable or dangerous to person or property to operate vehicles.
• CDSI may refuse to drive into private property when, in the collector’s judgment, driveways or roads are improperly constructed or maintained or without adequate turn arounds or have other unsafe conditions.
• Where CDSI is requested to provide service, and damage occurs to a customers’ driveway due to reasons not in the control of the carrier, the carrier will assume no responsibility.
• Over-full drop boxes subject to offloading. Maximum weight in drop box is 20,000 lbs. Customer agrees to pay all fines and penalties for over-weight loads.

PAYMENT DUE DATE:

Bills are mailed on or before the last day of the month. Monthly billings are in arrears and bi-monthly billings are one month in arrears and one month in advance. Payments are due by the 15^th day of the next month following the billing date. All accounts are considered delinquent when charges are not paid by the last day of the next month following the billing date. A finance charge equal to 1% of the unpaid balance or $1.00, whichever is greater, will be assessed. Delinquent accounts are subject to service stop for non-payment.

COLLECTION TIMES AND PLACEMENT:

Containers need to be accessible by 5:00AM on your service day. We are not responsible for items on or near any solid waste receptacles. Containers should be at least 3 feet away from other containers, carts, any objects or vehicles. A blocked container will result in a missed service and could incur a return trip fee.

EXTRA GARBAGE:

Monthly rates are for level receptacles within weight limits. Anything not completely inside your receptacle is subject to additional charges. This includes all carts and containers where the lid is not completely closed.

VACATIONS AND TEMPORARY STOPS:

Credit given only for 4 or more consecutive weeks of non-collection when notified by the customer in advance. Customer must call to restart service.

MISSED SERVICE:

In the event that the driver misses your stop or you forgot to put your cart out in time, please call our office as soon as possible at (509) 754-2468 to request a return pickup. In some cases a return trip fee may be charged to your account.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE:

Our office is closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4^th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Drivers work all holidays EXCEPT Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
